Il diffère donc des deux précédents ouvrages de la série par la présence d'une importante (60 pages) partie théorique qui passe en revue les concepts de base, ainsi que les forces et faiblesses des principales formes classiques (ponnuki, noeud de bambou, petit et grand saut de cheval...). La partie pratique comporte 245 problèmes qui vous permettront de mettre à l'épreuve votre sens de la (bonne) forme.

Everyone knows that the Petroff is one of Black's most solid options to King's Pawn openings, which has endured for centuries. Most people DON'T know that the Damiano Variation - a subset of Petroff - is equally sound and not a beginner's trap into which we fell.
