Instruction + exercises according to the old Soviet chess school Experienced Russian Grandmaster Yakov Neishtadt reveals the training material that was used in Soviet times to build up young masters. In the first part of the book Neishstadt teaches a systematic course on the most important tactical themes. The second part consist of an exam with hundreds of tests from real-life chess, in random order so as not to give unwelcome hints on how to solve them. The solutions are not just lists of moves, but include instructive prose. This edtion has been checked with modern engines.

le titre annonce la couleur: ce livre est destiné aux joueurs de haut niveau qui veulent devenir des joueurs de très haut niveau. En huit chapitres mêlant conseils psychologiques (que faire après une défaite, ne pas se laisser leurrer pas ses succès, bien aborder la dernière ronde...) et aspects techniques, le champion grec nous fait bénéficier de sa longeu expérience des échecs de comptétion et nous abreuve de bons conseils. Reste à parvenir à les mettre en pratique...

Si quelqu'un s'y retrouve, il me fait signe Voici donc (au choix) le premier volume d'une triplette baptisée Chess Evolution, ou le troisième d'un trio dénommé The Fundamentals - à moins qu'il s'agisse simplement du septième tome d'un projet global qui en comportera neuf Ce qui est sûr, c'est que les 24 nouveaux chapitres truffés d'exemples et bardés d'exercices présentés ici vous feront cogiter quelques dizaines d'heures, et seront certainement profitables. Au boulot !
