Ca c'est un conseil! Bon comme on s'en doute, le livre traite des rapports entre intuition (ou plutôt reconnaissance de schémas déjà connus...) et réflexion objective. Le sujet n'est pas neuf, mais pour une fois, l'auteur semble avoir réflechi sérieusement au problème et ses réflexions sont souvent intrigantes et fréquemment pertinentes (ou l'inverse). Et puis au moins, si vous suivez son conseil, vous éviterez le zeitnot.

Un nouveau livre, mais une formule qui rappelle singulièrement les vieux “101” : 100 courts chapitres (2 pages pièce) chacun sur un sujet précis, deux exemples pour illustrer ledit sujet et zou, voilà un nouveau chef-d'oeuvre vite pondu Trêve de plaisanterie : l'ensemble se laisse lire et constitue une bonne introduction à des thématiques qu'on aura ensuite profit à approfondir via des ouvrages plus spécialisés.

Un rappel d'abord pour ceux qui ne maîtrise pas complètement l'anglais, 'strategic' se traduit par 1 d4 . Ce cher John nous offre un répertoire fouillé et hautement raisonnable, mélange de variantes bien rodées (Carlsbad, Nimzo Rubinstein) de trucs à la mode destinés à éviter la théorie (e3 contre la Slave) et de machins un peu plus marginaux (5.h3 conte l'Est indienne). Bonnes explications comme d'habitude. Recommandable!
